Who we are
This website is operated by MDY Analytics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17445263) with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, and MDY Analytics Limited Company, registered in Ghana (Registration No. CS200281222) at Tabon Loop, North Ridge, Accra. The two companies are joint controllers of the personal data collected through this website. In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to both.
For the United Kingdom, we act under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. For Ghana, we act under the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).

What we collect and why

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers and we set no cookies of our own. The site's fonts and scripts are served from our own domain.
Where your data is kept and who processes it
Messages and subscriptions are received by a service we operate on Google Cloud, hosted in London, United Kingdom, and stored there in a database only our staff can access. A copy of each message is emailed to our team through our Google Workspace account. Google acts as our processor under its Cloud data processing terms.
Because we are two companies with staff in the United Kingdom and Ghana, your data may be accessed from either country. Where United Kingdom law treats such access as an international transfer, we apply the safeguards that law requires.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: 24 months from the date received, then deleted, unless the enquiry has led to a continuing relationship, in which case it is kept as part of that relationship's records.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed within 30 days.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you and to give you a copy; to correct it; to delete it; to restrict how we use it; to object to our use of it; or to provide it to you in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mdyanalytics.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom (ico.org.uk) or to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana (dataprotection.org.gh). We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
Children
This website is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new version number and effective date.
